Kas Plateau -Valley of Flowers #Wordlesswednesday

Nature never ceases to amaze you, isn’t it? Kas Plateau situated in Satara, Maharashtra, is one such wonder on earth. The mesmerizing carpet of wild flowers spread across the valley is breathtakingly beautiful. Also known as Maharashtra’s valley of flowers, Kas plateau has earned the status of UNESCO  Natural World Heritage Site due to its rich biodiversity.

Surrounded by lush mountains of the western ghats, this place is a photographers paradise.

Incidentally I had one of the best Vada Pavs and Pithla Bhakri here, at one of the quaint little make-shift cafe’s overlooking the majestic mountains. While the plateau was getting soaked in the first of the monsoon showers that year, we were mesmerized by the beauty surrounding us, with hot vada pav for company. Another reason for me to remember this by.

I am joining Esha and Natasha for #WordlessWednesday

    1. Don’t know how I missed this lovely feedback from you. ? Yes, Yes, absolutely…beautiful surroundings and a tasty treat… Its a combo made in heaven. Nothing can beat that. Being a foodie, I make sure I get a taste of the local cuisine wherever I travel. Because, if you visit the regular restaurants, you only get the tweeked versions to suit the travellers. Really sick of Naan & panner butter masala…Not that I dont love it but its become so common that any part of country you go, the restaurant menu carries only these ubiquitous items. You have to search, research and run pillar to post to find a place that serves authentic cuisine of that place. Sorry for the rant and thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Loads of love.
